Leather Goddesses of Phobos is an interactive fiction computer game written by Steve Meretzky and published by Infocom in 1986. Such as numbers of more Infocom titles, it was freed for the DOS, Apple II, Apple Macintosh, Atari ST and Commodore 64 computers. This game was Infocom's number one "sex farce" & featured selectable "naughtiness" levels ranging from either tame to lewd.

Plot

A game begins around Upper Sandusky, Ohio in 1936 and is presented in the manner of a science fiction serial of that time. A Leather Goddesses of Phobos are just finalising their plans for the invasion of Earth. A streaming video player's character has been abducted per Leather Goddesses for the final touching of the project which may enslave everthing of humanity. Unless this villainous project is stopped, a Globe is turned into these twisted hellcat' pleasure dome. (It should become noted that, despite a streaming video player's conceivable motives, this effect is considered unfavourable.)

Feelies
A game featured there are no copy prevention as such, but rather several Infocom games, it involved puzzles that were about impossible to solve forswearing hints from either a concomitant documentation (a and then-alleged feelies). Leather Goddesses involved a as a result feelies, one of which was quite unique among Infocom's games: The little scratch and sniff card which bore sise numbered areas (at certain points in a game, the streaming video player would become instructed to scratch a certain total then whiff the ensuant odor. Given the possibilities for the game featuring a "lewd mode", a scents were comparatively harmless, like pizza pie & chocolate.) A Risky venture of Lane Mastodon, the 3-D comic book containing vital hints to the game 3D glasses for the Lane Mastodon comedian book A double-sided map of the catacombs

Notes
Within the particularly clever way, Leather Goddesses forces a streaming video player to "choose" a gender for even his or her character: the stake's number 1 scene is around a bar, & the streaming video player's character has the sudden, right urge to urinate. A streaming video player has two or three turns where to enter either a men's room or even a ladies' room, alternatively face an early, horrible prevent to the game. A game assumes that whichever comfort station is entered is "appropriate", therefore typing a men's room means that a streaming video player's character is male. Farther, LGOP assumes that a streaming video player's character is heterosexual, in that a kind of sexually suggestive situations by having the paired sex come found.

Even more, an extra by-product of the streaming video player's chosen gender is the nature and severity of the "sidekick" character. Whenever a streaming video player's character is male, he might meet a beefy however dim-simple human known as Trent; in case the streaming video player's character is female, she may call for an attractive however somewhat ditzy woman known as Tiffany.

Leather Goddesses of Phobos wore the difficulty rating of "Standard".

A game was followed around 1992 by the sequel Leather Goddesses of Phobos 2: Gas Pump Girls Meet the Pulsating Inconvenience from Planet X!

Staff review: "Leather Goddesses of Phobos 2 is one of the most sought-after oldies in existence. It is ironic, then, that it happens to be one of the worst computer games ever made in any genre."
